Parents – The Precious Gift of God

Once upon a time there lived a couple happily. The man worked in a company as a manager and was earning good and the lady was a housewife. They both had a son. One day suddenly in an accident the husband died. The woman now had to work hard so that she could make her son a real gentleman. Day and night she was busy in teaching her son. The son was also very good in studies. He was selected in the army as an officer. The lady was very much happy. She selected a bride for her son and soon her son got married. The lady was very happy to see her family but her happiness did not last long. One day her son told her that he wants to live in the officers quarters and because she had become old she could go to old age home for which son had already booked a room.
The lady was heart broken but she did not say a single word to her son. She shifted to an old age home. There were no fans and other facilities. So slowly her health was affected and she became weak and was under depression.
Years went by and the son also became a father and was happy. So he went to tell this news to his mother. There he came to know that his mother was serious and was in death bed. He felt sad and asked his mother, what is your last wish ? The lady asked her son to put fan in the old age home rooms. The son was very surprised. He asked his mother what is the use of this when you are in death bed.
The lady’s eyes watered and she said, “son this is not for me. I know I managed with out fan in the old age home but I know that you will not bear the heat when you grow old and come to this place to live. This is for you my son.”
The son now realized his mistake but now it was too late his beloved mother was dying. He started crying and told her to forgive him. Mother did not say a word because she was satisfied that she had taught the last lesson of her life to her son and now her son would never do any injustice to anyone.
